Why do feet sweat?
The change in the weather, autumn cold and rains make us dress our feet in shoes that protect them from moisture and cold. Unfortunately, in doing so, we block their access to fresh air and breathe freely. Feet sweat, and walking for long periods of time in soaked socks is neither healthy nor comfortable.
How to prevent sweaty feet?
When choosing shoes for autumn and winter, look for ones that allow your feet to breathe. Reach for technical TEX materials or natural leather rather than the so-called “eco-leather” which is actually plastic on a textile layer.
Prevent your feet from overheating. Don’t wear shoes longer than necessary. Use lighter socks, made of natural materials.
Reach for a foot deodorant (such as Coccine Deo Feet). It will reduce perspiration and prevent the proliferation of bacteria and fungi.
Replace the insoles in your shoes. There is a wide range of antiperspirant, refreshing or antibacterial insoles available on the market, which will help feet stay hygienically comfortable (e.g. Coccine Aroma-Silver Bioactive).
How to take care of dry feet?
Being in a stuffy, warm environment, feet are also prone to dryness. That’s why it’s a good idea to use a proven cream or lotion (such as Coccine Balm Feet) that will nourish, moisturize and firm the epidermis, preventing cracking of the stratum corneum (so-called “cracked heels”).
